On the button three-handed, a small open can win the blinds and gives me position if called. 8-4 offsuit is weak, so I’m keeping the raise modest rather than building a large pot.

K2o is far too weak to defend out of position against a button raise with the big blind still to act.

Seven-six offsuit out of position against a button 2.5x raise is a weak spot; calling risks playing a marginal hand OOP for little edge, so folding preserves chips.

J7s is a decent suited hand heads-up against the BB; raising to 3x applies pressure and can win the pot preflop or build a pot with position-equity in a 2-way spot.

K5 suited is strong enough to defend against a small blind raise, and calling keeps the pot manageable out of position.

I have a strong flush draw and can apply pressure after the preflop raiser checked. A half-pot bet builds the pot when I improve and may fold out weaker hands.

Queen-six suited is playable from the button three-handed; a standard 3x open builds the pot with position and fold equity against the blinds.

QJo is a playable hand three-handed, and calling offers reasonable pot odds. I’ll avoid inflating the pot out of position against the button’s raise.

Getting 3.5 to 1 direct pot odds closing the action preflop, QTo has sufficient equity against button and small blind ranges to justify a call.
